Have you ever had the scare of a loved one, perhaps a parent, being
told that if they didn’t change their eating habits, lose weight and
start exercising that they might not make it too much longer?

Let me first tell you that I am an avid watcher of the TV reality
show called “The Biggest Loser.” I get a little emotional nearly
everytime I watch that show! Why is that? Well, because I love
it when people change for the better, whether it be losing weight

Let me share with you an e-mail I received from my Uncle Ron just
a few days ago. Uncle Ron has been overweight nearly his entire adult

If you want only the best for your body, then you don’t want to be purchasing from a company that settles for junk, especially when they’re selling it to you for a premium. When choosing nutritional products, it’s important to know what’s considered quality.

The problem of companies not properly evaluating quality of ingredients becomes all the worse in an environment where saving money is what counts. Some companies will simply avoid analyzing their raw materials.

Continual quality analysis is ever important. Not only should companies test raw materials for possible contamination with microbes, pesticides and heavy metals, but also to determine their potency. After all, it’s the potency of each ingredient that ultimately determines whether or not a finished product will satisfy customer’s needs.

For example, if a supplier provides a raw material for a botanical that doesn’t meet specified potency, then it’s up to a responsible company whose sights are set on quality to reject the material. Sometimes companies don’t reject poor quality raw materials from suppliers, but even more shocking is that when companies do reject materials, those materials often don’t get disposed of or destroyed.

The rejected batches just end up going on to the next bidder—companies who sell stuff cheap. And the trash they sell is often never tested beyond the federal requirement of “fingerprinting” each botanical powder to make sure it really is what it is. Too often enough, unfortunately, some companies even avoid doing the fingerprinting. These same disreputables are also known for tainting their products making them even cheaper.

The integrity of a dietary supplement company must be maintained through a “no compromise” quality policy. Where is the onslaught of “shock ads” targeting children and their parents about the rapidly increasing obesity statistics?

Don’t expect to see any of those suggestions anytime soon. Why not? Well, can you try to imagine the loss of the amassed mountain of revenue health care creates? What would replace it? It is too profitable for you to be sick! it really is common sense in business…create repeat customers and you guarantee both longevity in business and increased revenue. It is like the doctor of a man to whom the doctor gave six months to live. The patient could not pay the doctor, so the doctor gave the patient 6 more months to live!

Folks, watch what you eat! Get smart! Read the labels…do some research on ingredients. People pay more attention to what make-up they put on their face or what oil they put in their car, than what they are eating!

Observe very closely those results…or should I say, lack thereof. Yes, I increased in weight instead of losing weight…almost two whole pounds. Completely my fault. I was out of town for one day and knew I would not deviate from the course simply being gone one day. Well, now enter failed Suburban transmission…plus two additional nights out of town while impatiently waiting for said transmission…plus add one of five children that has become physically ill during said two additional nights out of town impatiently waiting for said failed transmission. I capitulated…and I’m sorry.

However, this personal mishap is not the equivalent to failure. I disappointed myself…but I have not failed. I will be right back at it in the morning, focused and intent on improving my health and to lose 30 lbs in 30 days! people need to know that occasional battles will be lost, but the war on poor health CAN BE WON!

It’s hard not to get choked up watching this video.  Man, I’ll tell ya, I here all the time these “one juice wonder” companies claiming their stuff does this and that, cures this and that, but nothing I have ever experienced has made so many changes in people’s life, physically, emotionally and even financially!

Many people, including myself, have experienced a pretty good level of energy even while on the liquid cleanse days.  John Anderson explains why this is.  When asked “I find I have a ton more energy on Isagenix cleanse days.

You may not have expected such a long answer but I believe this must be shared with you and maybe others as to the importance of drinking the Isagenix Cleanse.

ENERGY;
I can tell you the Cleanse for Life is super powered with electrolytes from plants. This sounds like a small pinch but it’s so concentrated, the bodies systems begin functioning and thousands of reactions occur. 95% of your body functions depend on minerals.

Vitamin B-12;

CORTISOL;

This leads to increased circulating glucose concentrations (in the blood) by increasing gluconeogenesis. There is an increased glycogen breakdown in the liver.

Cortisol also acts as an anti-diuretic hormone, (water retention) .

Cortisol causes bingeing, excess eating. Gaining weight will only add to Cortisol increased levels.

Cortisol lowers bone formation thus favoring development of osteoporosis in the long term.

Long-term exposure to cortisol results in damage to cells in the hippo-campus. This damage results in impaired learning. What about Kids?

Factors affecting cortisol levels;

1 Caffeine may increase cortisol levels.

2 Sleep deprivation increases cortisol levels.

3 Prolonged physical exercise stimulate cortisol release in order to increase gluconeogenesis and maintain blood glucose.

4 Anorexia nervosa increases cortisol levels, an eating disorder characterized by extremely low body weight and body image distortion with an obsessive fear of gaining weight. Isagenix can really help people who suffer from this!

New IsaLean Shakes

There has been a lot of interest in the details behind the creation of new Natural Creamy IsaLean Shakes. So, because we’re all curious, we’ve asked top team members of the Isagenix Research and Development Team, “How did the team create the shakes that taste like vanilla and chocolate ice cream, but are also good for you?”

Not surprisingly, the answer was high amount of expertise and a step-by-step method.

According to Isagenix Chief Science Officer Bill Wheeler, Ph.D., ACSM, “We’ve sought out top researchers and scientists from the food and nutrition industry. The team is the best in the business and each member has a substantial role.”

“The best is getting better thanks to Isagenix’s team of researchers,” says Isagenix Founder and Formulator John Anderson. ”It was important to improve the nutritional content and Isagenix has taken the IsaLean Shake to the next level.”

STEP 1:  RESEARCH

Researching a superior nutritional profile is the integrated responsibility of the Isagenix Research and Development Department along with the Scientific and Technical Advisory Boards. Each ingredient was carefully researched for its biochemical function and support to the body.

Scientific Advisory Board Chair Dennis Harper, DO, says, ”The nutritional profile of the new creamy shake has improved while still maintaining the caloric ratio that has made the shake effective from the beginning for weight management.”

The shakes contain higher-quality proteins, are lower in saturated fat and sodium, and have been designed to be easier to digest due to reduction of lactose and additional digestive enzymes.

STEP 2: FLAVOR

To create an all-natural flavoring system suited for the ingredient formula, Isagenix imported an expert flavor specialist from France. VP of Product Innovation Pierre Teissier, Ph.D., is a European-trained gourmet chef and medical doctor. (When asked what it’s like to be a genius, he replies, “expert, yes; genius, certainly not.”) He sums up his job simply as, “making bad-tasting stuff taste good.”

The bad-tasting would include vitamins, minerals and botanicals (for more on Dr. Teissier’s work, see ”Sensational Cleanse for Life“).

Getting the shake just right required Dr. Teissier’s team to go through plenty of trial-and-error experimentation while collecting continual feedback from consumers. He says, “Once we finally knew what we were dealing with, then we knew what we had to do. The product needed to be healthy and natural, yet a shake that could be enjoyed by anyone.”

The flavor that came out on top of all sampling and sensory analysis was a more traditional, neutral creamy vanilla and chocolate, both tasting a lot like ice cream! The testing found that these flavor profiles appealed strongly to young and old, current customers, overwhelmingly with new customers, and customers from various ethnic origins.

Samples were sent to the Scientific Advisory Board, Field Advisory Board and top Associates before a decision was made to launch. Dr. Harper says, “When I first tried mine, I immediately noticed the new creaminess and loved it.”

STEP 3: SCIENCE

After formulation came time to study the shake’s effectiveness for supporting optimal health, weight management, and lean muscle mass. Never without scientific papers stacked high on her desk is Director of Nutritional Sciences Susie Rockway, Ph.D., who had been instrumental in driving research for the shakes. She explains that arranging an appropriate university-performed study was key to finding needed data, which turned out well.

STEP 4: QUALITY

According to Helms, “We only use suppliers with a long track-record of providing quality ingredients from reliable and reputable sources who meet and exceed cGMP guidelines. Suppliers are audited regularly to ensure integrity of all our individual ingredients as well as finished products.”

Label claim and potency testing is the job of a team led by biochemist Isagenix Director of Regulatory Affairs Christian Roeschmann, MS. The passion that Roeschmann brings to his work is stunning, as he spends what appears to be every waking moment going through analyses and making sure that raw materials and finished products are all inspected properly to ensure efficacy and quality.
